Newcastle Nomads is launching its first junior futsal competition in Term 4, giving young players the chance to learn, compete and develop in a genuine futsal environment.
The Nomads Origins Futsal League is designed for children who want to discover futsal, play more often or join a competition without needing to organise an entire team.
Whether your child missed out on a Fast Fives team, has never played futsal before or already loves the game, there is a place for them at Nomads.

Individual registrations are welcome. Simply register your child and Newcastle Nomads will place them into one of our Origins teams.
More Than Another Summer Football Competition
Futsal is its own sport, with its own techniques, tactics and way of playing.
Nomads Origins will provide a positive, high-quality environment led by accredited futsal coaches and referees. Players will be encouraged to express themselves, solve problems and become confident with the ball.

The program is designed to develop technical ability, creativity, confidence and game intelligence while helping children fall in love with the sport.
With 40-minute matches across the season, Nomads Origins delivers over 50% more playing time per game than local 26-minute competitions, with a complete Nomads playing kit included in the registration fee.
No Existing Team Required
You do not need to find a coach, organise friends or enter a complete team, though you can if you wish!
Parents can register their child individually and Nomads will create balanced Origins teams. This makes the league ideal for players who want to participate but do not already have a team.
Friends who would like to play together can indicate this during registration, so if you do already have your team, you are good to go!

Origins represents the beginning of the Newcastle Nomads player pathway.
As the club grows, players will have opportunities to progress through Nomads programs, development environments and representative teams. The focus at Origins level, however, remains simple: create an enjoyable first-class futsal experience that helps every child improve.
